Scientific seminar at the University of Debrecen
On 2026.03.05 I gave a talk at the University of Debrecen titled "Community-based data collection with izeltlabuak.hu" as part of the University's scientific seminar series.

The izeltlabuak.hu website primarily focuses on arthropods found in Hungary. This entry also deals with Hungarian fauna.
I was invited by the Department of Evolutionary Zoology and Human Biology, University of Debrecen to give a talk about izeltlabuak.hu as part of their scientific seminar series.
The talk was held on 2026.03.05 with the title Community-based data collection with izeltlabuak.hu. I spoke about how photos and observations uploaded by nature enthusiasts can become a valuable dataset usable in research, and the role of the expert community, validation, and open data sharing in this process.
The talk was delivered at the University of Debrecen in front of an in-person audience and was also streamed live on the University's YouTube channel. The recording can be watched on the University of Debrecen YouTube channel, or in the video below:
I would like to thank the Department of Evolutionary Zoology and Human Biology, University of Debrecen for the invitation and the opportunity, and all participants for their interest and questions.
