Change List
The izeltlabuak.hu website primarily focuses on arthropods found in Hungary. This entry also deals with Hungarian fauna.
Overview
The change list is documentation of taxonomic and nomenclatural changes implemented on the izeltlabuak.hu platform. We regularly update taxa added to the Hungarian fauna, as well as changes in the names and classifications of taxa.
We publish changes monthly or after processing a larger work, so users always have up-to-date information about taxonomic changes published on the website.

Change List Page Structure
The change list page contains a chronological list of changes implemented on the website. Changes are grouped in two ways:
- Monthly changes: Regular monthly updates.
- Source processing: Comprehensive changes implemented after processing larger scientific works.
Elements can be added to the monthly changes list in two main ways:
- based on published sources
- based on identifications given to observations.
A published source can be a book, an article, or a scientific publication. We regularly process sources and shape the Hungarian list accordingly.
The other way to get into the list is if an identification arrives for an observation submitted within Hungary's borders that is not yet in the Hungarian list. We add these new list elements to the Hungarian list on a monthly basis.
Individual Change Page Structure
Change pages document in detail the taxonomic changes implemented during a given period or during the processing of a specific source.
In case of source processing, we can see a summary at the top of the page about our notes related to the source.
Change Categorization
Changes are grouped by taxonomic levels:
Changes affecting families
- New families: Families newly added to the Hungarian fauna
- Deleted families: Families removed from the Hungarian fauna
- Families where nomenclatural changes occurred: Name changes, synonymizations
Changes affecting genera
- New genera: Genera newly added to the Hungarian fauna
- Deleted genera: Genera removed from the Hungarian fauna
- Genera where nomenclatural changes occurred: Name changes, synonymizations
Changes affecting species
- New species: Species newly added to the Hungarian fauna
- Deleted species: Species removed from the Hungarian fauna
- Species where nomenclatural changes occurred: Name changes, synonymizations
- Changed families: Species whose family has changed
- Changed genera: Species whose genus has changed
