Note about izeltlabuak.hu (arthropods)

The izeltlabuak.hu website primarily focuses on arthropods found in Hungary. This entry also deals with Hungarian fauna.

  • The genus of the species previously known as Paranovelsis punctatus has changed. Its new name is Lanorus punctatus.

  • The genus of the species previously used as Paranovelsis pantherinus has changed. Its new name is Lanorus pantherinus.

  • The species previously known as Trogoderma megatomoides has been synonymized. Its new name is Trogoderma quinquefasciatum.

  • The species Anthrenus corona was described as a new species by Graham J Holloway in his 2021 publication 'Anthrenus (s. str.) corona (Coleoptera, Dermestidae, Anthrenini): a new species in the A. pimpinellae Fabricius, 1775 complex from Turkey'. In his work, he mentions that it shows close similarity to the Anthrenus goliath species. The recently processed work already mentions the A. corona species from Hungary. It also mentions the A. goliath species as existing, but not from this country. In Hungary, the species previously known as Anthrenus goliath has been changed to the new name Anthrenus corona. The Hungarian name has been retained.
