Confirmation of Identification
Summary: According to verbal communications, confirmation of identification was not permitted for identifiers. Nevertheless, it sometimes occurred. I have now technically prohibited confirmation in the identification process.

The izeltlabuak.hu website primarily focuses on arthropods found in Hungary. This entry also deals with Hungarian fauna.
Currently one identification belongs to one observation. Confirmation of identification is considered when an identifier gives the same identification without modification as another identifier previously made.
When this happens, the identifier's person changes. The system currently cannot handle multiple identifier persons for one observation.
This is problematic because it means the original identifier's name does not appear as the identifier, but rather the person who made the confirmation. This can be misleading, as the actual identifier's work is not visible, only the confirmer's person. Due to the current system structure, the original identification cannot be distinguished from the confirmation.
To prevent this, confirmation of identification was prohibited for identifiers according to verbal communications.
Nevertheless, it sometimes occurred. To prevent this, I have now technically prohibited confirmation of identification. Those who attempt confirmation receive an error message and their identification fails.
In order to make it more visible that an observation is already identified, I also made the following change: if there is already at least a family-level identification, I changed the 'Identify' text to 'Modify Identification'.
