We have expanded the search results. It is now possible to search for synonymized scientific names as well.
The izeltlabuak.hu website primarily focuses on arthropods found in Hungary. This entry also deals with Hungarian fauna.
On the izeltlabuak.hu website, it is possible to search for taxonomic names.
Previously, you could enter a current scientific name (e.g., Photedes morrisii), a current Hungarian name (e.g., szürkésfehér sásbagoly), or a Hungarian name marked as non-current (e.g., porcelán sásbagoly) in the search field.
When searching for 'porcelán sásbagoly', we got the following result: Photedes morrisii - szürkésfehér sásbagoly (porcelán sásbagoly)
Previously, it was not possible to search for synonym (formerly used) names of scientific names. For example, the Photedes morrisii - szürkésfehér sásbagoly mentioned in the example had the older name Chortodes morrisii. Previously, searching for the scientific name Chortodes morrisii did not return any results.
As a result of the current change, when searching for the scientific name Chortodes morrisii, we get the following result: Photedes morrisii (Chortodes morrisii) - szürkésfehér sásbagoly By selecting this, we reach the Photedes morrisii species page.
